Very good for a packaged mix.Mar 04, 2009

It takes only 25 minutes to prepare this tasty gumbo. I added okra and shrimp. Package states there are 9 one-cup servings. I was surprised at how much rice was included in the mix and didn't find it too spicy. It is very good and easy to make. Very convenient when you need a quick meal.

Very good Gumbo mix in a box, all you do is add meat and your good to go!
Taste like it came from a restaurant.

love this stuffNov 03, 2010
By D Whaley I love the gumbo. It is as close to the gumbo I used to get in New Orleans as I can get in the Pacific Northwest. I make it with venison and it is delicious.

Quick, easy and super tasty!!!!!Jan 04, 2010
By Georgia Granted, I did cook up seasoned sausage and some fresh shrimp separately with some Zatarain's Creole seasoning, garlic powder, and some minced garlic cooked in a little olive oil and beer...but this is a super easy dish to make and comes out awesome (I'm sure it would even if you didn't add your own little twist)!! Since I can't do ANYTHING out of the box, I can't speak for it...but I know that it was loved by all at my dinner table tonight!!
Best Microwaved Gumbo MixNov 23, 2011
By darylltx I've tried canned gumbo and boxed mixes for years and this is the best. What I do is put in a can of cut okra, 3/4 link of smoked sausage, one rib of finely diced celery in a microwave bowl with about 6 cups water. render sausage first then, put in celery and microwave about 4 more minutes. Then, put in mix and water and cook for 25 minutes. Be careful after about 10 minutes if it starts running over, you may need to cook it on 70% power. If gets too thick just add water; or if too thin, you can add some of that jarred dark roux you can buy in walmart. Its called Kary's dark Cajun roux, but drain the oil first, only use the flour.
