 This is a package of powder, not a true mixFeb 08, 2009

I gave several of these packs as Christmas gifts to chocolate lovers in my family thinking it was a fudge mix they could prepare whenever they got the craving. In fact, it's a small packet of powder you mix with 1/2 pound of cream cheese and 1/2 stick of softened butter then chill and slice to serve. (There is also a packet of chopped nuts you can sprinkle on the top.) The result tastes OK but you could probably do just as well with a spoonful of cocoa powder and sugar. My mother, one of the recipients, pronounces the promotion "very misleading."

I made this as the cheeseball and served with vanilla wafers and grahm crackers. This was sooooooo good. I might skip the nuts next time.
I can't wait to try the french silk pie recipe option.
This comes with six boxes so it is easy to share or be the go to person for a decadent dessert for the next pot luck.
