Knee pain relief for long-distance runner... without side effectsJan 03, 2011
By FlavorFlav Immediately after I complete a run of at least 8 miles, my knees ache. Never when I'm running, just after. To combat this, I've tried a few Glucosamine & Chondroitin & MSM products. I can tell a definite improvement (no pain in my knees after a long run) within about two weeks. So, at least for me, the key components in this product are helpful.
I tried to get these components via chews, but was chewing so many of these calorie-laden chews that my jaw started to hurt. You may laugh -- but really, it was anywhere from 3 to 6 very tough "chews" (and I use that term loosely; they were like stale Tootsie Rolls). There had to be a better way.
I tried to get these components via a few powder brands (adding a scoop to my post-workout shake), but my stomach would get upset a few hours later -- serious cramping and bloating.
Then I tried Wellesse. First off, the taste is great when mixed into my chocolate shake. The recommended dose doesn't add a significant number of sugar calories. The cost per dose is reasonable. And most importantly, I get that same benefit of Glucosamine & Chondroitin & MSM (after two weeks of consistent use, no joint pain after a long run) without any of the drawbacks I experienced with the other products.
One lesson learned: sometimes Wellesse will have a few particles when I pour it into my drink (which messes up a smooth shake). Shaking my recovery drink after adding the Wellesse wasn't fixing the problem... but if you shake the Wellesse bottle first, problem averted. Guess the Wellesse wants its own vigorous shake to break up its small clumps. That's an extra shake worth doing, in my opinion.

Absolutely 5 starsSep 11, 2010
By A. Mariel In reading these reviews I am usually a bit of a skeptic. So here I am raving about Wellesse. I have severe arthritis in my hands and shoulders, so severe the pain wakes me up at night. Since I've been taking Wellesse - the pain has significantly decreased, my consumption of ibuprophen has significantly decreased, and I am finally getting some sleep. If you are in a similar physical condition, at least try it, one bottle was all it took to convince me. The taste? Actually, not bad...refrigerate it first.

FAST relief; pricey but well worth it. *EDIT 2/27/12: Improved Taste!*May 25, 2011
By Sherri H. Long I have always been a very active competitive athlete...and like many athletes, a bonehead about properly caring for my sports injuries all the way up through my days as an NCAA D1 athlete. I paid penance with reconstructive surgeries in my knee, followed by the standard post-op arthritis.
However, I also have systemic lupus and fibromyalgia, so in addition to old nagging injuries, there have been some flares which left me with debilitating joint pain as well as standard day-to-day fickle joints.
I originally found this stuff at Costco and decided to give it a try...and I swear within hours I felt relief. After a couple weeks, I had no trouble getting out of bed in the mornings, and now after a month I'm back to regular yoga practice, ice hockey, and circuit training.
As for the expense...first of all, Glucosamine with Chondroitin and MSM is more expensive than your average supplement, regardless of the delivery method. I understand that paying an up front cost of more than $15 for a supplement can be scary, but in my humble opinion and experience from years of dealing with chronic illnesses and injuries, its rather high monetary cost is more than compensated for by such palpable benefits. But then, I tend to spare no expense (within reason) when it comes to basic healthcare. I'd rather budget and cut a little bit here and there (e.g. make my own coffee rather than hit Starbucks) and pay more for something that works and makes my quality of life better. In the long run (and the short run!) a few extra bucks is a small price to pay, and this really is a great value for what you're getting.
Regarding taste: Back when I wrote the review of this product, though it was "Berry" flavored, it was a thickish, amber-colored clear liquid that tasted like a milder cough syrup with a slight maple flavor. Not disgusting or anything, but definitely not "Berry." I opened a new bottle a few weeks ago, and lo and behold...it's pink and tastes more like Berry! The consistency is still the same, and has a bit of a medicine-y taste, but it's really not bad at all! But c'mon...even if it were? I can't imagine this awesome stuff not being worth choking down one little ounce per day. If you really don't like the taste, maybe you could disguise it a little by throwing it in a smoothie or something!
NOTE: I have never taken Glucosamine Chondroitin in tablet form, so I can't compare one form of administration against the other. However, many friends of mine have switched from tablet to liquid and swear that the benefits are more immediately achieved using this product and all of them feel the benefit outweighs the cost.

Wellness Knee PopOct 30, 2011

Glucosamine Joint Movement worked well for me. I had trouble walking up a stair way because of my knee problems, specially the right one would have a small pop and friction. This bother me so bad I would walk up the stairs side ways. After taking this product for a week or so I started to notice my knee problems where starting to disappear. People also report that this product tastes bad but I think is a matter of time before you develop a taste for it. Price on Amazon is a few cents off from COSTCO warehouse, so if you want to try right now and you have membership or know someone who does, purchase at COSTCO. Also let me add that the 2-Pack offer at Amazon are 480ml each bottle at a cost of $19.75 a Pack. COSTCO warehouse bottle is 1000ml at a cost of $19.99 or so. Today I can say that this product took care of my knee problem. I would highly recommend you to try it for two week trial and see if it would do the trick for you. 33 servings 1000ml & sugar free, does the trick.
