After my friends raving about this product, I ordered from Amazon instead of the Vitalicious website. I did exactly what it said in the instructions and microwaved them exactly as directed but every one I've prepared has been exceptionally dry. Don't know if it is a bad batch or what but I'm not enjoying them -- especially at such a high price.

Great healthy alternitiveDec 02, 2009
I have never tried a vititop product before so this was my first experience with them. I didn't have high hopes going into this but I had read reviews on other websites that made me curious enough to order them.
I chose to microwave mine, the same directions seem to be put in all the packages recommending you toast them but I don't own a toaster oven and couldn't see putting chocolate chunks that would melt in a pop up toaster. I nuked one for 15 secs and it come out piping hot the chocolate chunks were now melted and oozing out of the vitatop. Trying them for the first time with small expectations was a delight. The muffin top was very moist with a dense spongy texture. The bites with out the chocolate chunks were not overly chocolaty. I wouldn't say bland just not as a burst of yummy chocolate flavor you got with the chunks.
I have not tried one not microwaved, and I don't think I will if I can help it. The melted chocolate to me is what makes it that much more delicious.
For those who have never tried them, do not expect a rich chocolate brownie taste or something close to that nature. It isn't comparable to that. What it is though is a great yummy way to get fiber and curve those chocolate cravings you have if your trying to diet or eat healthier.

Honestly, I'm not exaggerating! I recently lost a lot of weight and I use these muffin tops for dessert now. I make whoopie pies by cutting one in half and mixing fat free whipped topping with strawberry yogurt. Another recipe I like is using fat free whipped topping with a teaspoon of peanut butter mixed together. I got these recipes from the cookbook Hungry Girl's 200 Hundred under 200! My kids love these whoopie pies too!

I always liked the deep chocolate vitatops, but after tasting the triple chocolate I have to say this is the best one. With dark, milk, and white chocolate chunks I feel like this dessert sinfully delicious but it still only has 100 calories. Keep the chocolate flavors coming!!!!!!!
