By Gregg Jackson I have been making wine kits since 2004 at the rate of 1 kit per week. I have been buying mostly the Wine Expert/Vintners Reserve kit. These are very good kits. I thought I would try the Vino Italiano kit as the Wine Expert are getting pretty pricey.I couldn't believe for $44 you could get the corks, labels, etc.PLUS the kit.The 1st thing i noticed when making the kit was how the thicker consistency of the juice, this explains the smaller 15.5 ounce package (more concentrated). This kit requires an extra racking but makes the wine clear up much faster than the Vintners. When I tried this Merlot before bottling I was so surprised at the flavor. It is a drier white which I prefer. The body is comparable to any I have made and I liked it so much I subscribed to once a month delivery and saved an additional 15%-unbelievable!I have also tried the Riesling, very good as well. I now have a Pinot Chardonnay, Valpolicella, and a Merlot going and expect them to be just as good. These are the best deal for price and quality I have found to date and will continue to use these as long as they are available at this price!

White Merlot is a HITDec 28, 2009
By Gordon Jackson A light blush table wine, this kit was a hit with friends and family this Christmas. Two and a half cups of cane sugar were added prior to bottling. Alcohol content was approximately 12%. Flavor best when served very lightly chilled.

By Windywinemaker Of all the kits I've purchased (25) this one is my least favorite. Not because there was something wrong with the kit, because I didn't care for the taste of the wine.

Not a complete package!Aug 16, 2011
By AJ Chandler I purchased this wine making kit because it was advertised as having everything you need. The contents was a mix and corks. When I purchased this product, I thought I was getting everything I needed to make wine like the beer making kit I recently purchased. Boy was I wrong. Therefore I gave this product one star because I still need to buy everything else.
