A Winner all around!Feb 09, 2009
By Florida Bum I'll tell you - I was a bit surprised by reading some other reviews. One said there wasn't enough in the box. I think they all said the flavor was "mild". Maybe there is a standard "strength" for satay, but I thought this one was first rate!
Let's start with the packaging. First, forget about having to add water to cook the noodles, etc. The noodles come pre-cooked in a vacuum pouch, with no need to add water! This is perfect to keep at work - open the pouch, put the noodles in the box. Pour the peanut sauce over the noodles (from another pouch), close up the box, and microwave for three minutes. Stir well and it's done!
I've had some "mix and serve" meals where the quantity of sauce or other flavoring is too small. Not here - I think they've put just the right amount of sauce in the pouch. If you like a little less, just don't add it.
The flavor may be mild compared to other peanut satay meals. I think they've done a great job. I despise boring food of all kinds - I probably have more spices in my cupboard than most people. But I'm also not super fond of extra-spicy dishes. These noodles seem to fit me perfectly - plenty of flavor without killing your taste buds.
What about the quantity of food? One box is listed as two servings at 310 calories each. Well, I'm a large guy at over 250 pounds so you gotta figure I can put away a good meal, and I think this box is too big for me for lunch. My personal rating on number of servings in the box: about 1.5 servings. If you wanted to feed a family of four for dinner, try putting out two of these boxes and a vegetable mix or salad. You might use three boxes if you have older kids.
I love this almost-ready-to-eat meal. Five stars, wholeheartedly!

GoodFeb 05, 2009
By grumpyrainbow The flavor is mild, but still good. The taste is a lot more natural and less greasy then a lot of these boxed noodle meals. The ingredients are simple and with no chemicals or things you can't pronounce. I enjoyed them.

My favorite of the 3 current flavorsMay 11, 2009

I've been buying this product under the Trader Joe's label (Trader Ming's) and love it! This is their green box if you frequent that market. I add a small 3oz Swanson's chicken can (drained) to the package cook 2:15 and stir and feast. It's really good and there's plenty of sauce to coat all. Some of the other brands don't put in enough sauce to add a protein so this one does. It certainly makes a hearty portion, can be split easily if you include a soup or salad with it. If you're reading this before May 31 the current price with subscription and coupon is $1.69/box. That's a steal. Get it while you can, and even later if you want a tasty treat. Enjoy!

First wash your hands and physically separate the noodles this makes a big difference. Add a drained can of albacore tuna break it up with a fork, and add the sauce. Quite tasty.
