Green teas are made from leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, the same leaves as black tea. Green teas go through a process where the leaves are heated to prevent oxidation while black teas are oxidized for additional color and flavor. Twinings' Jasmine Green Tea is layered with freshly picked jasmine flowers, allowing the tea leaves to absorb the delicate fragrance. The result is a mild and refreshing tea with an alluring aroma. Jasmine green tea is pure and natural refreshing green tea lightly scented with jasmine flowers for a delicate fragrance. | | | Features: | |

I used to put real jasmine flower into my tea pot and let it stand for a few minutes to let the jasmine smell going into the tea. This is so far the best jasmine tea with very flavor very close to the real flower. I'll buy it in the future again.

It's totally fine! Great Twinings quality, as always.Dec 21, 2007

It tastes totally fine... just exactly like "good" black tea-based jasmine teas you've had in the past. But, it's green tea which means that they don't roast the antioxidants out of the tea before they package it like so-called black tea. This is a super alternative tea for your high 3 pm pot, full of floral aromas. Have it the way you'd have Darjeeling or Earl Grey.
In the morning I prefer a mix of regular green tea and black tea in a medium-sized pot that contains the following: Lipton Organic Green Tea, Lipton Green Tea, Mandarin Orange, Premium Pyramid Tea Bags, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 6), 30% Lipton Decaffeinated Green Tea, Tea Bags, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 12) and Lipton Pearl Black Pyramid tea bags (1). It tastes like Constant Comment or "Chai tea" to me when flavored with honey and lemon, but is 30% decaffeinated contains more antioxidants and polyphenols that may even prevent Alzeheimers.
Look at these Amazon Lipton teas too because I NEVER see them in the stores: Lipton Pyramid Tea Bags, Tuscan Lemon, 20-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6)Lipton Pyramid Tea Bags, Bedtime Story, 20-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6)
I chuckle at some of the stuff Bigelow boxes up as green tea. They could have just ground up the cardboard box and it would probably taste the same.

By Lib Mullinnix Love the tea and it's low in caffeine. Goes great with Chinese food but I drink it all the time. Healthy too!

Finally a green tea that really tastes good!Jun 02, 2009
By Effie I've tried several different brands of green teas over the years and I've been sorely disappointed in every one -- they usually have absolutely NO taste at all, barely tint the water a tiny bit of green, and taste like I'm drinking hot water. I've been on a jasmine kick lately and picked up a box of the Twinings Jasmine Green Tea at the grocery store and was really surprised to find that it has a LOT of flavor -- the jasmine flavor is not strong, I can't really smell or taste jasmine, but the tea is smooth and delicious -- it tastes more like black tea, the water tints a dark brown like regular tea. I'm going back to the store this morning just to pick up a few more boxes! Now I can have my green tea and enjoy it, too!
Good green teaOct 28, 2010
By Novabob I found this tea to be very good, It has a nice flavor with the jasmine and is not too strong. As someone who was accustomed to Japanese green tea which has a grassier flavor this is quite different. This is a great inexpensive tea with a very good taste and aroma.
