A NECESSITY FOR CIVILIZED AND A TRANQUIL LIFEAug 04, 2006

The only tea.
The Irish tea.
To be taken only in the morning unless you have no reason to sleep that night.
A tea to heal the disturbed mind and soul. A tea for the Irish.
Take half and half with even skimmed milk and you will never see coffee again.
Wake up and smell the tea.
How kind of the Amazon to offer it on line. I shall never again suffer tea-separation anxiety when the local grocer is out.
A source of peace and of comfort far from home. More powerful and peaceful than any artificial pharmeceutical prescribed. Take two cups and call me in the morning.
Thank you, O mighty Amazon.

Strong and full-flavoredAug 04, 2006
By Kurt A. Johnson Twinings was founded in London, England in 1706, and has a long and respected tradition of producing only the finest of teas. Irish Breakfast tea is a mixture of Ceylon and Assam (black) teas, well-known for its strong, malty taste.
OK, let's get down to brass tacks - Irish Breakfast tea is not for everyone. There's an old Irish saying that says that a proper cup of tea should be "strong enough for a mouse to trot on," and this tea is certainly within striking distance of that target! But, if you add milk and sugar to this fine tea, you will be rewarded with a smooth and full-flavored drink.
Irish Breakfast tea is in a class by itself among the teas I have drunk, in that it comes closest to being like coffee - that is having a strong taste that gets you up and going in the morning. Not all teas will stand up to a proper breakfast, but this one will. Overall, I have found this to be a wonderfully interesting tea, strong and robust.
And that's my review. If you want a tea that will round out your hearty breakfast, then Irish Breakfast tea is for you. If you want tea from a great tea producer, them Twinings is for you. I highly recommend this hearty tea!

Makes the best brewed tea!Jan 06, 2007
By Linda E. Ulbrich In my opinion Twinings Irish breakfast tea is absolutely the best brewed tea around. It has a very robust flavor that is certain to wake you up. If you aren't a coffee drinker , this will become your "coffee" of choice. Excellent tea!! The price is also much less expensive than my local grocery store. If your looking for tea with a strong kick and excellent flavor, you gotta try this. Delicious!

Twinnings saved the day.Jan 05, 2007
By Janet L. Brennan My husband converted to drinking tea about 6-7 years ago and has been quite particular in what he chooses to purchase. He used to buy the Lipton Black Tea with Honey and Lemon and it was no longer available. Finding a substitute that would be equally satisfying became quite problematic. He tried a box of Twinnings Irish Breakfast tea and added his own honey. He found it to be better than anything he could imagine. While it is not my first choice, I certainly put it in second place on my list, as I like English Breakfast tea. Nonetheless, this has a great flavor and warms the spot when looking for something special to drink. I highly recommend it!

My Favorite Tea!Mar 17, 2007
By Laura I was so glad to have discovered this tea when my mom was visiting last year. She buys tea from the Gevalia coffee company which is very good but is very expensive, especially with the shipping, so just for the heck of it we bought a couple of small boxes to try out to see if we could come up with a cheaper alternative for her. One of them was the Twinings Irish Breakfast and I was amazed at the flavor. We in my family were all brought up on Lipton but I abandoned hot tea years ago for coffee. BUT now this tea is giving my morning cup of coffee competition! Since then I have also tried the English Breakfast but don't think the flavor is as rich.
