These herbs were used to help support digestive system function and to promote the body’s normal process of detoxification. Senna is an effective stimulant laxative that promotes bowel movements. Rhubarb root and sickle-pod senna seed were considered milder stimulant laxatives that complement the effects of senna. Ginger was used to lessen discomfort and cramping and to support digestive system function. Licorice root, white mulberry, dandelion and fo-ti were used to help support healthy liver function, promote normal detoxification, build the “chi”, or energy, and promote balance. Traditionally, the Chinese considered healthy digestion and elimination important for physical and mental well-being. For additional support in cleansing, use this tea along with Triple Leaf Detox Tea. | | | Features: | |

Good productApr 26, 2011
By Brandon When i first stumbled across the Triple Tea leaf brand, i noticed that they did not use a metal staple to fasten the tea bag to the draw-string. Considering there are many different tea brands on the market, claiming a myriad of health benefits coming from their products, all claiming to be 100 percent natural etc...it seemed slightly contradictory to have a piece of metal floating in boiling hot water seconds before it is going to be consumed yet at the same time claiming to be healthy. At this day and age I am aware that it is 100 percent unavoidable to avoid contact with the more toxic elements in our world. But when it comes down to tea, i feel like it should naturally be one of those products that is by its genome, handled and packaged with care. I like to steep my green tea without a piece of metal in the equation. Maybe to some people I may be coming off as over reacting, and maybe I am, but when it comes down to it, wouldnt you rather support a company that goes out of their way to make their product that much better by simply keeping a peice of metal out of the tea you plan to drink? Its up to you to decide, not me. Overall great product and as of thus far, my favorite tea brand. And just for the record, this laxative works as it says it does. It may not feel comfortable pushing everything out, but no pain no gain right?

Definitely a great productOct 24, 2008

This tea definitely helps to keep me regular. I usually do not eat meat, but when I do, I feel great about having to drink this tea with some honey at night and the next morning passing it out. And the taste is really not bad, compared to the tea I bought recently (since I can't find Triple Leaf brands here in SC anywhere). This other tea has the same effects, but tastes horrible...
Very effectiveMay 20, 2011
By Brad Smith The flavor is an acquired taste, admittedly, though it perhaps is best if brewed and then chilled as iced tea. I have not ever tried sweetening it, though that might help. As a gentle laxative for occasional use, I find it extremely effective if taken in the evenings.
This stuff works!Oct 05, 2008
By BrokeNotPoor Bought this for my mom as an alternative to Milk of Magnesia and other liquid laxatives. She's a stroke victim so her physical activity has slowed down decreasing her metabolism. As directed and giving her one cup to drink before bedtime, she was able to have a bowel movement the next morning. The only complaint she had was minor stomach pain and loss of sleep since the tea was doing its thing overnight, but once she passed, everything was fine. This tea is even more effective if you drink two. Another method to avoid sleepless nights is to drink it first thing in the morning and you'll be sure to pass within 6-8 hours. Great product if you want to go regularly.

Causes explosive diarrhea for 24 hrsJan 12, 2011
By jcmoore Soon after drinking a cup after this tea (just before retiring to bed), I experienced painful cramps and ridiculously lengthy toots. In the morning, I had diarrhea and episodes of it (along with the gas) continued intermittently over the next 24 hours; not exactly ideal for the working person.
