 Great Little Drive EnclosureApr 24, 2009

The enclosure is beautiful, sturdy, and works great. Installing a drive into it is simple and easy---just line it up with the inside connector, slide it in, push to seat it, and screw down the end panel. It's immediately recognized in Mac OSX, Linux, and MS Windows (XP & Vista). Simply plug it in a USB port using the supplied mini-USB cable.
It also includes backup software and there is a button on the end of the enclosure to activate the backup with one touch after the software is installed. However, I do not use it, so I can't say how well it works.
Although it doesn't say so in the description, the enclosure is for IDE, not SATA, drives. You will probably see the SATA version in the recommendations below it.

This is for IDE drives, NOT SATA. Amazon replaced the first one, which I thought was sent in error, with exactly the same IDE type. The description is wrong.
