We tried Tortuga Rum cake while vacationing in Bahamas...many told us that Bacardi rum cake is really good...well if you try this one you are not going back to Bacardi Rum Cake..we tried almost 5-6 flavors of Tortuga and most of them are nice..Our all time favorite is Chocolate Rum cake..
After coming back from Bahamas, we ordered these cakes through Amazon and whenever we take a bite..it freshened up sweet memories of Bahamas..

I wasn't very familiar with rum cakes but I wanted to pick up a cake off of Amazon. I think that I just don't really like chocolate rum cake so I'm probably being a little too harsh. Still... it was just okay. Not a bad gift idea though.

Overall, a good cake, but not gourmet or great. If I saw this in a bakery, I would not pay $14 for this cake.
Good size - for a family of four, you would get two good servings each
Attractive packaging
Okay taste - you get the distinct flavor of rum, but the chocolate is missing
I missed the dried fruit - A rum cake without raisins?!

I bought this as a gift to my mother on her birthday. She loves sweets, and since I have learned that most of the previous gifts I sent her have been re-gifted (clothing, jewelry, and anything of the kind), I figure this is the best I could give to a very wonderful woman who's not wanting. I have never seen the actual product as my mother lives quite far from me, but she just enjoyed it a lot she went out of her way to tell me (her compliments are precious).
