FANTASTIC!!! Heat in separate pouches and serve side by side in big bowl--combine as you eat. A superior product, very healthy, filling, and absolutely delicious, like the best Indian restaurant.

Quite a delicious Rice dish!Aug 22, 2008
By A. Bennett This is the first product of this brand of foods that I have tried. It is a unique ready made Heat and Serve rice dish. It's got two packages that need to be combined and heated for a couple minutes in the microwave. I really like the fact that it's really moist....almost like a soup. It has a bit of a bite to it so if you don't like spicy foods, stay clear of this one. I really like this tasty rice product and recommend it to anyone who might like the flavor of Indian foods.
very tasty but high calorieFeb 19, 2010
By Kevin Meade The entire line of Heat&Eat is good stuff. I have tried them all and like them all (some more then other of course).
However, take a look on the back panel and you will see that some of these meals are way high in calories. The number of servings says two but unless you are a light eater, there is really only one. That means you are consuming in some cases 1200 to 1500 calories or more from each box and that is before you consider your accompanying drink etc. If you are worried about caloric intake you will have to skip these. Too bad, they are tasty.
I was very pleased to find this at my local grocer, and even more so to see that they can be purchased significantly cheaper here on Amazon than in my store. But after going through a box of six of each kind, my wife happened to look at the back and commented to me "have you seen the calories?". I had not... In my joy of finding and consuming a boxed, easy to prepare Indian meal that rivals the local restaurants, I had forgotten to check. I am overweight and so must stop eating them.
Maybe if my wife liked Indian as much as I, we could have found a way to share each meal.
Hail Flavius!
far better than other Indian packaged foods I've triedJun 18, 2009

Tiger, Tiger heat and eat packaged foods taste better than the other Indian packaged foods I've purchased at Amazon. Also, the 19.4 oz is usually far filling. The rice mix is outstanding packaged food.
