Moist & Great FlavorNov 04, 2009

Only problem I had with these cakes is in wishing they were bigger. Yes, they are canned; and we can see that and should anticipate having a can opener around. Wrapped in paper to retain the moisture. Yes, it will dry out if left uncovered on your counter; but it certainly comes from the can moist. Then, the cream cheese flavor? Well, it's a pound cake, not a package of Philadelphia; but I sure do taste the cream cheese myself.
Bottom line: I'll get more. Great to serve to a guest with coffee. Even better to gulp down myself with a glass of milk; but that is selfish, isn't it? Ummm...isn't it? Best for grownup tastes; kids usually prefer something more obvious.

I didn't have high expectations, I bought this for long term storage. My hubby said we should open a can and give it a try- wow- it was moist and very flavorful. I will buy more!

The Ya-Hoo! Baking Co. Danish Cream Cheese Pound CakeDec 11, 2010
By Loriann This pound cake is simply delicious. It is amazingly moist but not at all soggy. The best thing is, it is in a can with a resealable lid. It comes out of the can very easily. One slice is enough as it is just so rich and good. I am buying some more of this. I am giving a couple of these to friends. The amount is good for one person or a couple. The can is slightly larger than a regular can of soup. I like that they are canned so I can put them up and have something to serve to unexpected guests with coffee or tea.

Yummy!Jun 30, 2011
By Snowycat I purchased these canned cakes as a means of whipping up a quick dessert for a family BBQ I recently attended.. Boy, did they go over in a big way! Everyone loved them! Each cake can be easily cut into 3 or 4 smaller round ones.. I then added fresh strawberries in their own syrup and put a dollop of Cool Whip on each one.. The cakes were sweet and tasted delicious with the berries.. I bought six of the cakes which made 18 servings but they can be sliced a bit smaller to serve 24 if needed..
I would definitely recommend these cakes and do it wholeheartedly.. It might have been a bit cheaper to make pound cake by using a box mix but when time is short and you need something that will stand out I think these luscious canned cakes can't be beat..

By Eagle The item is the best pound cake available on the interenet. It is unfortunate that the cans are damaged prior to shipment. It is a problem getting the cake out the damaged cans but does not seem to effect the taste of the cake itself once you are able to get it out of the can.
