I love this mug. I bought two of them so I can have one at work and one at home. My wife got a hold of one and loves it so now I have to order one more. This is a good quality mug and very easy to make my loose-leaf tea in it.

The picture on this page is deceiving, this mug includes a porcelain basket to allow you to steep your tea. Also, the lid flips over and you can insert the basket on it so that it can drain properly. The early model of this did not have a handle on it, so this was a well needed addition. I use mine every day and can say this has been a great addition to my kitchen.

This ceramic mug set is very nice to look at, pleasing to see the little swirl at the top of the lid which goes well with the shape of the mug. At first, I wasn't too thrilled with the angular shape of the handle, but after using it, I'm quite pleased. It is extremely comfortable for my small hands and I would imagine that it would be great for a large hand as well. This is not a dainty mug but it is not a heavy and cumbersome container. I've had many mugs with the steeper where the holes are so big that the tea falls through into the cup. Not a problem with this one; holes are small and well dispersed. The package was well insulated so the item transports well and it makes a lovely gift for the tea drinker.

I had ordered a red one of these steeping tea cups for my wife and she's been using hers for about two months now with no problems. I liked the design, so I ordered a black one for myself, and on the first use, the cup cracked down the middle and started leaking. The return policy says that it cannot be returned because it is a kitchen item. I called Amazon and they offered to replace it or refund the cost. I'll give the cup another try, but if it doesn't work this next time, I'll request a refund and start looking for a different steeping tea cup.

Pros: Nicely thought out and good materials. Easy to use and durable after many months of regular daily use, still in good shape. Makes great tea at an economical price. Works well in the Microwave.
Con: The narrow base makes it a bit tippy, easy to knock it off a table (which is why I smashed my first one) It would be much more practicle if the base was wider.
