4Great sauce, but a bit priceyMar 31, 2007
By L. Arrow "--Les"
I bought a bunch of these when Amazon was running a sale. I love the basil chicken (ga kra prao) that is served at Thai restaurants and have tried to replicate it myself with no luck. I am pleased to say that the sauce included in this product replicates it perfectly.

My tip is to use ground chicken rather than sliced. One sauce packet goes perfectly with 1/2 pound ground chicken. I also prefer jasmine rice rather than the included rice noodles.

Which brings me to the expensive part. If you do what I do, you're basically paying for a packet of sauce. And depending on how much you eat, and how many there are of you, that could mean multiple packets per meal.

Anyway, to sum up, I recommend you give it a try using ground chicken and then decide whether it's ever worth it to buy it again.

5Delicious and SpicyFeb 16, 2007
By M. Booth
It took a while to get here, but it got here nonetheless. This dish is actually quite spicy (and I love hot food). It was too hot for my wife. However, it was very tasty, and I will definitely buy it again!

5good quick Thai foodOct 25, 2008

This is my favorite "Asian food in a box" product. Per the instructions, I add a half pound each of sliced chicken and fresh vegetables to the mix. One box is plenty for 2 people and the flavor is rich, but not too spicy. There is a different "Thai Pavilion Garlic Chili" product that is much spicier. If you don't add meat or vegetables to this product, I can imagine how the spices might get out of balance.

5very good quality sauceApr 08, 2007
By Stephen R. Scheffler "Alki food connoisseur"
I found it very helpful to disregard the directions and simply put the noodles in a dish with water and microwave for about three minutes. Add sauce
and eat. I find it to be a wonderful lunchtime meal. Three people per serving??? I don't think so. I'm also 6'9" 265LB and can need an entire pizza at one sitting so I guess it's not the fairest criticism. I enjoyed the sauce because it's not a watery broth. The sauce is warm but not overpowering. For those that aren't accustomed to Thai food add peanut butter, yogurt, or sour cream, depending on the flavor. When I started out I threw peanut butter into just about everything hot. Also try drinking milk Instead of water.
