This jerky is the best jerky I've had - period.
I'm an omnivore and this stuff tastes better than meat jerky.
It has a rich meaty flavor without being overpowering -
unlike most jerkies, meat-less or otherwise.
Also it's low in sugar and sodium, which is rare for a
meat-less jerky. Other meat-less jerkies usually use that
and a ton of spice to over compensate for being meat-less.
Totally worth it.

Okay, I am hooked on this stuff! They did an absolutely fantastic job of replicating traditional jerky texture and taste (but without the meat and all the MSG and preservatives). It is so tasty and healthy and you can literally eat it anytime...before workouts, or as a really healthy snack for me and the kids. The Hot N' Spicy and Ginger are my favorite flavours. I would like them to create a Spicy Ginger..yum! I would like to see greater availability, perhaps through local supermarkets, Trader Joes, and maybe even Costco/Sams Club (if their production would permit). The world needs more healthful tasty eats like these!

I got the hot n' spicy. Could stand to be a bit spicier but the flavor and texture are good. My only complaint is the packaging. It comes in a sealed bag inside of a sealed bag- seems excessive.

I want to preface my review by saying that I tried Primal Spirit jerky first, and absolutely HATED it (sorry, Primal Spirit). The texture was all wrong (very moist, not chewy), and the smell and taste really reminded me of dog treats. I decided to give Tasty Eats Soy Jerky a chance, and it is SO much better!
First, the flavor is really delicious. I got the Hot & Spicy variety, and it's very tasty with just a little spice (I would like it a little spicier, actually, but it's still great). I can't wait to try some other flavors next.
Second, the texture is very similar to real jerky. It's drier and chewier. I am a vegetarian, so sometimes I miss really chewing on something. This jerky is great for that.
All in all, Tasty Eats Soy Jerky is a fantastic product. My carnivore boyfriend likes it too, although admittedly not as much as real beef jerky. I highly recommend it!
