My husband and I love this rice. It's full of flavor, but not too spicy/hot. And ordering it through Amazon for $24/12-pack is much cheaper than the grocery store. We eat it all the time.

This is a great product!!! It is not very high in sodium like many of the ready made ride products on the market. The taste is great! It is spicy and taste like it is fresh out of and Afghan or Indian restaurant without all the oil!! The box is for 2 servings which is great for singles and couples, but this bulk order from Amazon makes it good for more people. I recommend this one for busy people who are tired of the products with bigger names loading up with sodium and fat!

I purchased this rice after being so pleased with the Tasty Bite Multigrain Pilaf (Tasty Bite Meal Inspirations Zany Multigrain Pilaf, 8.8-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 6)). The packaging and name of the multigrain pilaf has changed (why "zany"??) but the ingredients look to be the same. But this review is about the Tandori Rice.
While this Tandori Rice is passable, I wasn't as excited by it as I have been with other Tasty Bite offerings. The texture of the rice is distinct--firm in a parboiled way, not bad but different. The flavor is somewhat heavy and dull--a little too flavored for a rice and lacking a certain "brightness" that could have lifted the density of the seasoning.
On its own, this rice will likely disappoint Tasty Bite fans. However, paired with a lightly-seasoned entree like the Spinach Channa (Tasty Bites Spinach Channa Entrée, 10-Ounce (Pack of 6)), itself a little lacking in flavor, this rice can contribute to a generally satisfying meal. Consider serving with yogurt to brighten the taste.

Despite the claim that this product is vegetarian, it contains fish sauce. If you are truly looking for a vegetarian option, make sure to double check the ingredients.
