 Good, but needs better triageNov 19, 2009

This brown rice tastes fine, and the quantity is perfect for a filling lunch below another tastybite dish with sauce. The problem is: some of the grains are not well separated from the hulls, and I found quite a few hulls in all the packets I ate so far. I do not enjoy the hulls AT ALL, and I have to waste time digging through the rice to pick them out. So, if tastybite fixes the "hulls problem", 5 stars. With hulls: 3 stars. For now, I find that Gogo Brown Rice has less hulls, and that's what I'll buy until Tastybites fixes the problem, thank you.

These 90 second marvels offer a quick and easy path to hundreds of variations. You can have a simple nutritious side dish paired with an entree or use it as a base to create a main dish. It is consistently flavorful.

Both the brown and basmati are favorites of my son. Although I do not use this when I feed my family, these can be sent with my son to a friends house, or made quickly by him for his lunch or a snack. Being gluten free can be difficult for a teenager who goes all over, but these travel great (do not need to be kept cold) and heat in a microwave which are very accessible. He is not embarresed to take them along when he goes somewhere. I can't always expect everyone to follow gluten free guidelines and I don't like to impose so these are great!!! Great for one serving for a growing boy! Makes my life and his easier!
