This candy is almost exclusively sold in movie theaters - I have no idea why. I can't even find it in any of my local theaters any more. Try one box and you will be hooked. It is indeed a weird combination, but it works extremely well. 30 boxes is probably alot, but you can give a few boxes to friends and soon there will be a muddy bear revolution.

Muddy bears are an excellent movie candy. They are gummy bears covered in chocolate. It's not the most fabulous chocolate in the world, but they make for a great treat and do taste quite good. As you can currently only get them in theatres, it's nice to have something different at home. Try them out!

BEST FREAKING CANDY EVER! although I will admit after about the 20th box(theres a lot.....) i was getting sick. but amazon shipped it fast i got it fast and it's darn tootin good.

I bought a massive box of these in my enthusiasm for chocolate-covered gummi bears. It sounded like quite a bargain compared to paying for bears by the oz. at the local candy store. I had never seen these packaged and boxed -- only unpackaged in plastic bins. Sadly, the boxed bears were disappointing.
They're disappointing because the quality of the chocolate is poor. There is little coverage of the bears, and the chocolate is not a rich, milk chocolate, but some chocolate-like brown confection, much like orange drink hardly compares to actual juice.
The bears are also non-traditional and lacking because of it. The flavor is a little bit off, and their shape is squashed -- not dimensions of more original gummy bears.
If you have no other option besides these, I'd say go ahead and buy the bears. Or if you are introducing chocolate covered gummy bears to someone who finds the idea inconceivable, sure, give them a try. Maybe you need all the extra packaging for hygiene reasons.
But if you've had real gummy bears covered in real chocolate, these are going to disappoint.

We love the Muddy Bears. By purchasing through Amazon we save money, get a great product and don't have to go to a Movie Theater to enjoy our snacks. We use auto-ship so we don't even have to think about! Thanks Amazon
