A Fond and Deliciously Tasting Childhood Memory RevisitedJan 13, 2009
By Shawn Kovacich
"Author and Creator of numerous books and DVD's."
I remember years ago as a child enjoying both the regular (orange) Tang and also Grape Tang, which we didn't find in the grocery stores where we lived very often, but when we did, we made sure and picked up a jar or two. Yes, back in the day Tang used to come in glass jars with a metal screw on lid.
Now I haven't had any Grape Tang for quite a number of years, even though I would occasionally search various different grocery stores looking for it. With the advent of the internet, I got on the computer and did a search for Tang and found out that they do still make Grape Tang, however it is only available in certain areas of the United States, and as you may have already guessed, not in my area.
Anyhow, I was searching for various items on Amazon one day and decided to go ahead and put Tang into the search engine and see what, if anything, came up. Low and behold, and much to my surprise, they had Grape Tang listed for sale. Well, it only took me all of about 2 minutes to place my order.
Now some people don't like Tang, and there are some people that don't even like Kool-Aid, but for those of us that grew up on it, there is nothing quite as special as revisiting a fond and delicious childhood memory.

Weak flavor, so-so.May 12, 2009
By Sandra W. Jaqua I purchased both this flavor (grape) and the passion fruit. Neither is worthy of the Tang brand. Whereas the passion fruit flavor was far too strong and bitter, the grape flavor is terribly weak and needs a lot more powder to make it palatable. I really miss the mango flavor.

Grape TangJun 26, 2007
By Harold D. Naber Excellent product. Apparently this drink is no longer being manufactured. Our family enjoys the grape flavor more than the traditional orange;therefore,I was pleased to find the product available on Amazon.
Please bring back original Grape TangNov 24, 2009
By Chill Fan Please bring back original Grape Tang, the recipe they used in the 1970s. I did love it so. Tart and sweet.
Just............OKApr 07, 2009
By D. Murphy I can see why they don't carry this Grape Flavor Tang in stores around here anymore.....Not alot of taste. You really have to add some product to the water. Too bad the food police are jacking everything up. Give me the prdoucts and SUGAR that I remember. Don't buy this, it is just not that good.
