4decent snack better than starvingJan 10, 2010

this was great for a snack, or used as a dip has enough flavor but would be better with a sauce packet

While tasty, you'll probably want to add tortilla chips and use it more as a dip than a meal in itself.

3Just passable...Apr 24, 2008

The other reviewers were right on when they said this was not spicy/flavorful enough. I added some Crystal Hot Sauce and some four-blend-mexican cheese and in about 2 min I had a decent snack and I emphasize snack. The portions are very small to say the least ( "thanks" big brother) . Locally you can find these for about .50 cheaper at the supermarket but then you have gas, traffic, stress etc... so I guess it all evens out in the end. In conclusion, if you like Mexican and need a nice change of pace and want something that doesnt have to be refrigerated and you have some bread and hot sauce to boot then I say go for it. You could do a lot worse.

2BlandMay 10, 2007

I don't like my food extremely spicy, but this was bland even by my standards. I mixed in a packet of Taco Bell Medium sauce that I had, and that helped a little. Two Mediums or one Hot packet would probably be better. I think they should include some sauce packets, so you can customize the flavor a little.

This flavor seemed to have more refried beans than rice or beef, but it was hard to tell for sure, since the beans migrated and covered nearly the entire top of the bowl. I just mixed it all together, since it wasn't really divided into the different items anymore.

5Great to store at workMay 31, 2008

I keep these in my desk at work so that I have lunch whenever needed. They don't taste too bad and have a good protein to fat content ratio. Definitely would recommend since Amazon has the cheapest price when you subscribe.
