 Swiffer Sweeper cloths trap hair, dust and dirt instead of pushing it aroundNov 18, 2009

This product - Swiffer Sweeper Dry Sweeping Cloths, Febreze Fresh Scent Citrus & Light, 32-Count Boxes (Pack of 3) - was worthy of a 5-star rating back in May 2009, when we made our initial purchase. At that time, Amazon offered an extra 15% savings with their Subscribe & Save program. Unfortunately, this product is no longer available under that program, which means that the price is not as competitive as it was before.
We have two young sons (ages 7 and 5) and two small dogs and they all manage to track in dirt and dust, even though shoes aren't allowed in the house (and paws are vigorously wiped). The cloths are fantastic on wood floors, easily reaching into corners and under furniture. Unlike other brands we've tried, a Swiffer Sweeper cloth actually traps hair, dirt and dust instead of just pushing it around the floor.
Do we use both sides of the cloth refill? Yes, but the back of the cloth doesn't pick up as well. We usually save the back of the cloth for a second pass in the highest traffic areas.
While the Citrus & Light Febreze Fresh Scent is not cloying, it doesn't last as long as floor wax or a wet multi-cleaner.
In summary, I recommend the Swiffer Sweeper Dry Sweeping Cloths, Febreze Fresh Scent Citrus & Light, 32-Count Boxes (Pack of 3). I give it a five-star rating but I wish Amazon still offered the Subscribe & Save discount.
UPDATE: December 2009 -- A thank you to Jonathan Weinberg for sharing that this product is once again available through the Subscribe & Save program, which means a three-box order is less than $20.

I realize that I seem to be a small minority here but I really, really dislike this product.
My husband accidentally bought these Swiffer refills with Febreze Sweet Citrus and Zest and when I first opened the box I immediately could tell something was not as it used to be (for years we had bought the only available Swiffers - the unscented kind):
First off, the scent: It is - well, Febreze-y... Sweet and artificial, like all these weirdly scented products smell. But I guess that is personal preference and also heavily depends on the individual's sense of smell. Secondly, these Swiffer cloths feel yucky to the touch. They make me want to wash my hands ASAP. It's as if they are a coated with something strange, and it is not pleasant. My hands feel icky and almost a bit itchy after using these. But to be fair, I do have sensitive skin and this might not be the case for everybody. But people who are prone to contact allergies might want to think twice before purchasing these Swiffers. The scent also stays on the skin and if you are not fond of it in the first place, be prepared to really have to scrub to get it off.
The real question though is to me why they have to have Febreze-anything on them at all. They are dust cloths! Do I really need my TV, book shelf, table top, remote control, vases, pictures frames etc. to smell like "sweet citrus and zest"?? I find this to be one of the most unnecessary products I have encountered in a long time.
We've already gone out and replaced these with the unscented kind. Becasue we do like Swiffers as a product. Just not the added Febreze gimmick.

These refills are great. They have a very pleasant scent and can be used twice (just shake it off into the trash, then reverse it to use the unused side) It can double your savings. I also love the new design on the actual Swiffer duster. It can reach in tighter spaces and under beds as it swivels much better now. Together they work best on hardwood floors or laminate. A little difficult on ceramic floors because of the grout. Overall, a great, easy to use product!

We have hardwood floors in our house and the Swiffer dry mopping cloths are a great tool to keep the floors clean. The cloths pick up dirt, dust, hair, down feathers, and small debris. The scent is very light and pleasant.
The dry mopping cloths work very well with the sweeper. It's very easy to attach new dry mopping cloths and it's easy to dispose of used cloths. If you're cleaning very dirty or dusty floors, such as a finished garage, attach two dry mopping cloths to prevent staining of the base.
When compared to a vacuum, the Swiffer system requires less space, money, and electricity.
Highly recommended.

I really love the scent but I wish the scent was a bit stronger!! Otherwise I love how it really wipes up all the dust, hair, and my puppy's fur up.
