 Delicious sweet tea with no apologies or concessionsSep 23, 2009

We enjoy homemade iced tea - the type kind served at family restaurants throughout the south - but it is nearly impossible to find sweet tea served in Oregon. So, when we came across the Sweet Leaf Tea Company, we had to give it a try. This is the best sweet tea available in bottles.
The ingredients are wonderfully simple: Carbon Filtered Water, Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Black Tea, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), and Citric Acid. Take notice that high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) isn't on the list.
My wife and I will split a bottle, served over cracked ice, with a dinner of spicy, grilled meat or chicken. The tea's sweetness contrasts well with roasted garlic, onion and peppers. I recommend you pair Sweet Leaf with Sriracha Spicy Buffalo Wings (the recipe is included with my review of Huy Fong Sriracha Chili Sauce).

The Best Bottled Iced TeaOct 12, 2009

I've tried many different bottled iced teas and this is the best by far. It has just the right amount of sweetness, natural ingredients, and no high fructose corn syrup. It is less expensive to buy the 12 pack from Amazon than it is to buy the individual bottles in the grocery store. The bottle and case packaging is all recyclable, which is a bonus.

I am Southern, born and bred, so any bottled tea is kind of off but this one is fairly on the mark for good. The way tea is prepared in my area is 3 family sized bags (I prefer Lipton) and 1 and 1/2 cup sugar per gallon. LOL, this little bottle of "sweet" tea ain't too sweet. I thought the flavor was good and I would recommend it to anyone who can't get to a tall cold glass of the real stuff.

I bought this tea because I wanted something to replace sodas. I really liked the taste and it is very convenient. I like the fact that there isn't a lot of stuff add in to preserve it so it is very much like the tea I would make at home.

This tea is wonderful and the entire family loves it. Handy to take along in the cooler for weekend outings. Love it and wish I had purchased more when it was on sale!
