I am preparing to move to a new house and found a few boxes of these kinds of items in a cupboard I hadn't opened in a while. I had some fresh chicken on hand and nothing in mind for dinner, so I figured I would try this. It was SO easy to make -- less than 5 minutes putting the simple ingredients together (the only thing I needed that wasn't in the box was a couple of tablespoons of margarine -- I used lower-fat -- and hot water) and then 2 seconds to pop it in the oven. Half an hour later, I had dinner. It was VERY good -- the sauce was creamy but not too heavy and the lemony taste was just right.
As I was collapsing the box in preparation for putting it in the recycling bin, I saw the "best by" date -- November 2002. So yes, I cooked it almost 10 years after its "best by" date and it still tasted great. (And yes, I'm embarrassed to admit that I had put this box aside for so long. I knew that rice, pasta, and other staples lasted a LONG time, but this was really pushing it!)

This is a poplular dish in our home, especially with our teenage daughters. Very simple and easy to use and quick! Great for busy families who like to eat together as often as possible.
