 I actually love these...May 06, 2008

My 10-year-old daughter and I both love these. Depends on your personal tastes, I guess, but we both really like the moist, chewy texture and they're really sweet without any added sugars or other sweeteners. I can see where they would be great for baking, but we buy them for snacking -- I like the fact that because they don't need to be refrigerated after opening, I can take them on long car drives for a healthy snack (and one that doesn't make a mess and leave crumbs in the car!) A serving of these along with a bottle of water makes a perfect mid-morning snack - quick, easy, healthy, and filling.

I use these in my baked oatmeal and they are wonderful. Very convenient. Nice texture and taste after baking. Not great for snacking right out of the bag, in my opinion. I didn't care for the rubbery/chewy texture right out of the bag.

The taste is not bad but the texture is not to my liking. It's like dried soft apple slices, just like what the another reviewer said, "rubbery." I wish it has a little crispness. Nevertheless, it beats snacking on potato chips. But would I recommend it.... NO.

Very rubbery and tastes more like chemicals and preservatives than apples. Very disappointing. Not even chopping up into oatmeal could save it.
