Go green - but samples available if you order directMar 30, 2008

Product is great. Wonderful citris smell. However, recommend going directly to the Sun and Earth website to order. It is a $5 flat rate shipping, but can choose up to five free product samples every time you order. Plus, the company usually includes a 6th sample product of their choice for free.

I have a front loading Maytag Neptune machine that takes HE detergent. I had been using both Seventh Generation and Vaska natural laundry products since I first bought the machine 5 years ago to do the linens from my massage therapy practice. I wanted to keep my massage practice "green" in keeping with my personal philosophies and also while taking care of the special needs of my patients with chemical sensitivities. I also needed a product that would sanitize my linens and get them really clean of my massage oils and creams. I was always satisfied with the Seventh Generation line of laundry products because they were relatively easy to find. I especially love the Vaska line but they are just too terribly expensive. So I kept using Seventh Generation for my personal laundry, even after I was disabled and had to give up my massage practice.
Recently I was not able to find Seventh Generation at my local grocery as usual so I went to the health food store and there I found Sun & Earth laundry liquid. I decided to give it a try and I was very happy with the results!
First of all, I absolutely adore the subtle scent! As an aromatherapist, citrus is high on my list of essentials. I use it whenever I can. The scent of Sun & Earth Ultra Laundry Liquid, 100-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4) is delightful ~ light, fresh and true. It does not smell perfumey so it is acceptable for even the laundry needs of the men in your home. My bed linens smell divine! Furthermore, I myself have chemical sensitivities and Sun & Earth leaves no chemical residues that would normally cause me skin irritation and headache.
Perhaps more importantly,Sun & Earth is truly high performance. My multi-colored loads always come out beautiful and not one color has ever faded or run. My whites come out bright and white. I recently had some fairly soiled clothes from a small gardening project and I'm thrilled to report that everything, including white socks with ground-in dirt, came clean. I can't be more satisfied with the results.
Lastly, Sun & Earth does not contain animal products, NPEs, chlorine, phosphates, alcohol, EPA pollutants or dyes. It is hypoallergenic and safe for babies'clothes. The formula can be used in both HE & regular washing machines. And it is made in the good old USA!!! It's a great value at Amazon too, much less expensive here than at my health food store by several dollars per bottle. For my money Sun & Earth Ultra Laundry Liquid, 100-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4) through Amazon Subscribe and Save is the way to go. It's a great "green" laundry product in every way and a great value at Amazon.

We used to have a subscribe and save order for Country Save detergent, but when Amazon stopped offering it we switched to this. We have 2 little boys with sensitive skin, and this was fine at first (seems to get stains out ok and no skin reactions), but over time we noticed our whites becoming dingy. Eventually all of our laundry began to develop a funky smell. We haven't changed any of our other laundry routines, so it has to be the detergent. It's a good value on subscribe and save, but I'm going to have to go back to buying Country Save at my local grocer.

Since I manage a "green" office building, using products that are earth friendly yet effective is very important. This detergent, the 2nd kind we tried, does the job, keeping our microfiber cloths and mop heads clean and ready to use.

This is the best detergent I have ever used. It really does clean the clothes and they smell clean...not perfumed. CLEAN clothes, safe for environment and cruelty free. I would recommend this product to everyone.
