I've been had!
This is the first thing i thought when i imagined this syrup would taste somewhat close to the wonderful tasting butter pecan syrup in IHOP.
I was wrong.
I truly believe when most people would describe this syrup the words "acquired taste" may be mentioned.
Some people may disagree but i found it to be kind of bitter...and maybe a little too bold.

I disagree with the earlier review. This syrup has a wonderful but not too sweet taste. Stonewall Kitchen recommends this syrup on their pumpkin pancakes. They were absolutely right! Wonderful on pumpkin and also sweet potato pancakes. I tried Bruce's sweet potato pancake mix and used this syrup and amazing! I do love IHOP's butter pecan as well, but they are quite different, but in good ways.
