Founded in 1972, the company derives its name from an entertaining aspect of tea folklore. In earlier centuries, tea was a valuable commodity traditionally transported by clipper ship. The ship's captain often was presented with some of the finest teas for his personal use. This supply was his "stash," stowed carefully as his "private reserve." Today, the term still is used to denote anything put away carefully because of its preciousness. White tea is a very rare and expensive connoisseur's tea that is produced in China mainly in Fukien Province. Full of potent antioxidants, it may be even more beneficial than green tea. We invite you to discover the pleasures of brewing and serving full leaf loose teas. Our convenient resealable pouch preserves freshness and flavor. Stash Tea has been committed to providing premium quality teas and an unsurpassed tea drinking experience. Stash begins with simply excellent tea leaves from the world's premier tea gardens and all natural botanical ingredients gathered from around the world. Meticulous blending and tasting of every tea ensures you will enjoy full flavor in every cup. | | | Features: | |

A very nice white tea that is very drinkable. Just make sure you know and compare the size of this tea... 1.5 ounce packages. This is good loose leaf tea and the packaging makes this tea a very good purchase. There are three packages so while using one the other two stay fresh, the package has a zip lock thing to help preserve freshness and the bottome is fasioned so that it can stand up like in the picture. All in all I am happy with the purchase.

average-ish white tea - nothing bad but nothing special eitherJul 17, 2011

I probably need to try other brands/types of white tea to compare, but overall I've had green teas I consider to be much better relatively speaking I've had green teas that I rate to be about as mediocre as this seems to be compared to better green teas
I like the smell of this freshly brewed, and the taste at first but after a bit the taste seems to go sort of "flat" or something. I also make batches of this and put it in the refrigerator as iced tea it's the same, at first the smell and taste are pretty good, but it quickly loses the appealing aroma and the taste goes from better than decent to a little less than decent I usually end up having to add sugar or lots of ice or watering it down or just drinking it fairly to drink more than a small cup of it at a time
I still drink it because I haven't felt like trying other white teas yet
overall it's drinkable, it's not horrible, but it's also not any special
If I find other white teas that are better I'll drop the rating to a 2 but for now it seems like it's worth a star 3 rating

Gave them all upApr 05, 2008
By Lego Lady "Darl" Gave up Lipton and Red Rose for loose white and green teas. I've tried teas in resturants and now only take water. I'm hooked. Turned the whole family on to them also. It was a little tricky getting them used to measuring out the loose tea at first.
