Worked out greatDec 02, 2007
By C. Clark I used these as dessert plates for a large family gathering. They're on the smaller side, but worked out great. They're quite sturdy and didn't get soggy. Excellent replacement for Styrofoam, plastic or other paper plates. Will be using these from now on.

cane salk platesNov 16, 2008
By one fish I was very pleased with these plates made from sugarcane stalks..They had a nice solid feel, no need for two at a time even with it loaded up. Happy with th price too. And it met the requirement to be recyclable at our Hudson River Pumpkin Festival.

small, guilt-free, and amazon has best priceDec 08, 2010
By brit w. we bought these, the bowls, and cups since we have a small kitchen sink and no dishwasher. they're small, perfect for kids, and grownup starters, though they won't fit more than that. they take a bit longer than advertised to compost. we found amazon had the best prices on all of the 'stalkmarket' items after shopping a few websites.

Not the best.Aug 02, 2011
By Marie J. Harriman I had high hopes for this product and had hoped to reorder. Sadly, no reorders planned.
1) The lot I recieved had a number of plates that weren't fully formed, and were either missing a noticeable amount material at the edges, or a large part of the edge was markedly thin. 2) The plates are advertised as 'oil-resistant'. In reality they are moderatly oil resistant as long as you use them quickly. If you allow food or material to sit on them for more than a few minutes, they lose whatever oil or moisture resistance they once had. 3) I had also expected them to be relatively rigid. Sadly, any amount of food over a bit of lettuce will cause some of the plates to wilt - but you never know which ones!
I wish I could recommend them as I wanted to use environmentally friendly plates. Hopefully another product will come along that can perform as needed.
