5I guess i'll be the first for a review!Oct 03, 2009

Not sure why no one has not made a review on this yet but I just received mine and have it all hooked up. It's exactly what I needed. I'm using it for my TV only to watch movies and play Xbox. It has two rear RCA plugs for input only and the two speaker input plugs. Thats all thats on the back of the subwoofer but thats all that I needed. I have it hooked to my TV and from there I play my Xbox and movies through it. The quality of Sony is great and the sound is very strong. AND best of all it does come with a WIRELESS remote control. Why theres never a picture of that on this site or anywhere I have no idea. Plus the details on Amazon say that it is a wired controller and that is not correct. The remote controls volume, mute, bass, treble, input, power. On the front of the woofer, theres a secondary input for an MP3 player plus headphone input. You can also control the bass etc.. from the front of the woofer. I'd like to add that the woofer is as big as a standard stereo woofer. You can also control the volume if you disable the TV speakers ( if you have that option on the TV ) and just turn up the woofer and leave it at a high volume so then you just adjust the TV's volume instead that way you can use your TV remote only if you want. Or you can do it vise versa and use the woofers remote instead.

I've looked at all the other powered speakers on amazon and these Sony's are perfect and at a great price. Order it for the PC as it does come with an adaptor with RCA's on one end and 1/8 plug on the other or get it for the TV as theres nothing better at this price. I'd also like to add that the pictures do not do the system justice.. The subwoofer is seriously impressive and massive as in expensive looking and big.

Last note, this thing will blow the windows out! Serious bass and power. You have been warned! :)

5O.M.G.... Are You Serious!!!Oct 21, 2009
By Lawrence P. Godette "#1 Music Lover"
I am on a tight budget with this economy like it is and just trying to save money, better myself, and still not sacrifice what I love doing, which one of those things is listening to music. My old computer speakers had to go. They were snap, crackle, and popping and I just wasn't enjoying music like I used to. So I took a leap of faith and decided to buy these speakers. I'm not even going to lie because I though... Boy, I might regret spending $130 on something that really wasn't a necessity, and even tried to cancel the order at the last minute, but it was too late, they were on their way. So I waited and prayed that they would be worth the money and they sure were! I got this big box and drug it in the house thinking... This better be worth it all the way. So I opened them up and it was in a spanking brand new glistening box. I couldn't wait to get them open and see what I spent my hard earned money on. So I took the little speakers out first and I was amazed at how big they were... Triple the size of my last. Then I took this big old sub woofer out and almost fainted on the floor at how big it was thinking... Where in the hell am I going to put this, but rest assured I found a place. LOL!!! When I hooked it up, I needed no bass at all because none at all is too much and the little speakers really put out. I love this speaker system and it goes perfect with my new 6 gig HP computer. I now feel like I got a $400 computer speaker system for one hell of a deal and wouldn't trade them for the world... Thanks Amazon!!!

5OHHHHHH YEAAAAAAH!!!Oct 06, 2011
By Israel Rodriguez "IzZ"
Pros: Sound Quality is great
Base is not weak, but not overpowering (for those of you who complain about "rap" speakers, otherwise known as speakers that "rely" on base to make their sound.
These speakers are easily worth their price
I have listened to Orchestra(Two Steps From Hell), Techno (Basshunter, Darude), Punk (Green Day, Sum 41) and alternative rock (Rise against the Machine, The Offspring). Despite such a wide range of music styles, these speakers hold their own and spite our love to my ears.

Cons: The Sub-Woofer is heavy, it accounts for about 90% of the box weight.
The 2 sound speakers themselves are not that big, but the sub-woofer takes up quite some space
The cords connecting the two sound speakers to the sub-woofer aren't very long, hence range is limited.
Then again, they are computer speakers and not a 5.1 system... hence no need to move speakers to much.

It is often said that if you get a good first impression, the product will be good. I have reason to believe these speakers are better than a five star rating.
****Side Notes: The person who gave these a one star review needs psychological help
When I bought these speakers they had 20 five star ratings, now we are at 23 (including mine), that should say something on its own. The fact that a product's good reviews goes up by more than 10% in a span of 4 days, that should be an alert in itself.

Read on only if you want to know how I stumbled upon these Sony speakers.

I had previously purchased Logitech 2.0 speakers (Z320) and I was extremely disappointed with their quality. They retail cost is 60 dollars and I wasn't expecting much, but unfortunately my standards weren't low enough. The reason I first went with Logitech was because my original speakers were Logitech and lasted a good amount of time before I blew one out. Hence I had faith in the brand. I ordered the Z320's because I didn't want a ground sub-woofer. Big mistake, you can't have good base and sound coming from just 2 speakers!! Well.. you could, but that would cost over 250, and even then they still receive negative reviews (talking about Bose here).

I returned the speakers to Amazon and got a refund (was my first return ever!!!)

I can't live my life without speakers, I just love music too much. Thus I kept searching around as my speakers were in route to Amazon.

I stumbled upon these Sony speakers and I have to say... the reviews were good, but it was Sony after all. Hence I was skeptical, but I read through each and every review. Finally after doing some thinking and comparisons between other computer speakers (like 30 other speakers). I decided to go with these because of the great reviews. Ohhhhhh, let me tell you... although I have only had these for a period of 24 hours, I have listened to music for 3

The reviews were dead on... these speakers are amazing for their price.

Up-date: 4 weeks later (11-09-11)
I have listened to these speakers for over 40 hours now (thank you Pandora radio). I can say without a doubt in my mind that these speakers are easily worth their 200 dollar retail price. I am glad amazon has a review site, because without it, I would not have know what I have been missing out on.

I noticed one of the other reviewers gave these speakers a 3 star rating because you have to use a remote control to turn them on. That is not the case, they also have a switch on the base woofer itself.
They are still five star speakers to me (for the price).

These speakers are awesome for the price. They are as loud as you need them to be in an office, or living room. Just great sound , very crisp and the woofer is very strong. You will not go wrong with these speakers for your computer. I just opened the box, plugged them in and have been rocking out ever since! BUY THEM!
