18 cartons at 8.25 ounces per carton = 148.25 oz.
148.25 oz. = 1.16 gallons
$20.00 / 1.16 gallons = $17.23 / gallon. For SOY MILK.
If you really want your kids to drink soy milk, go to your local grocery store, get a half gallon of Silk for $3.00, then buy them a Thermos to fill up every day for their lunch.
I love Vanilla Soy Milk, I really do. I'm willing to pay a small premium over regular milk for the lack of cholesterol, etc. without the nastiness that is skim milk. But the existence of this product for this price is almost an insult to our intelligence.
Unless you're independently wealthy, that is. Then buy away.

Please be aware, that the people who originally owned SILK have sold the company to the $11 billion company Dean Foods. They refused to participate in the recent Cornucopia study and refuse to divulge where they get their soybeans from (China). Soybeans from China do not meet the stringent controls you need to determine if they are a) organic and b) not GMO (genetically modified). The prices did not go down when the quality of their soybeans did, and they are secretive and defensive of their product. Better to support American soy farms and products, for example Eden Foods. I will never again drink/eat another Silk product. (I couldn't give zero stars, so i had to give one).

I used to be a loyal Silk drinker back when it was actually organic and supported domestic farmers. Since then, the agribusiness giant Dean Foods (which owns over 50 milk labels in the country) bought Silk and began using conventional Chinese soybeans and quietly switching flavors of Silk from "organic" to "natural" without changing UPC codes or telling retailers, according to the Organic Consumers Association.
The Silk portion of the Dean Foods website pays tremendous lip service to socially and environmentally responsible business practices--Dean Foods CLAIMS to use organic domestic soybeans, BUT REFUSES TO DISCLOSE ITS BUSINESS PRACTICES OR TRANSPARENTLY PARTICIPATE IN SOYBEAN SOURCING STUDIES. It throws around the word "sustainable" without giving any proof or transparency to validate claims of sustainability.
If you care in the slightest about supporting businesses that are honest, transparent, and environmentally responsible, DO NOT BUY SILK PRODUCTS.

My son LOVES Silk Vanilla Soy Milk, these little containers are perfect for his lunch at school. I highly recommend them for anyone who's child drinks soy milk and they don't offer it at school. I found it at Walmart way cheaper then on Amazon, but it only comes in a 3-pack, but it's cheaper by about 66 cents per container. I would rather buy in bulk, but the savings is too much.

I like Silk soymilk because it stays fresh in the fridge for quite some time, until it's opened. I find it hard to use up an entire half gallon during the 7-10 use window, a problem which these little packages solve. I don't feel obligated to use up the soymilk every day. I can open one package, use half in my cereal, and then leave the rest in the fridge for a while. And the Very Vanilla flavor is excellent in my tea.
