Great almost expired bread,
if only it would arrive with a little longer expiration date.
SUGGESTION FOR YOU ALL: ONLY BUY ONE PACKAGE!
The trouble is, I like to order several packages, and for some reason Amazon is sending out the bread with only very litte time till it expires.
This style bread is supposed to hold for years, and is good to keep in stock for emergencies like hurricanes here in FL, or would be, if it would arrive from Amazon even half fresh!
This time I got the bread with expiration date 01/2011 and 02/2011 I ordered in December 2010
The expiration date, when it leaves from factory, and arrives to wholesale, surely is more than 2 weeks, probably has 1-2 years if not 5 years on it!
I am getting the feeling you are buying some old expired wholesale bread cheap!
I am hoping to order this bread in the future with at least 3, rather 6 months stamped expiring date on the package!
this is SECOND TIME AMAZON is sending me OLD bread = bread that expires in 1-2 weeks
NOT HAPPY! It is only so much crisp bread a person can eat in a week or two
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vegan. Natural. Traditional Swedish round knäckebröd rye crispbreads. Four large (~11"/28cm) round pieces per package. Each piece is approx. 312 calories and weighs 3.5oz/100g. Snap off any size piece as you like. Great with soups or with jams and marmalades. Two rounds broken in half (4 half pieces) fit in a gallon size ziplock or you can store the whole ones in a large flat tupperware. Made with whole grain rye flour, yeast, water, and salt. My paternal grandfather was born in Sweden. [My mother's family is of French descent.] Siljans has been a tradition in my family for generations. Very happy to find that it is now available on Amazon. Highly recommended. Product of Sweden. This review is out there for those for whom this makes a difference. I have found great relief (constipation) as I eat this everyday.
I've shared this with friends in the same situation and they have also
found 'relief'. Who would have thought something this simple could help.
We have worked with this 'problem' for a long time so we know the in's
and out's. My husband says to me 'O your eating cardboard for breakfast?' Ha Ha..
Make it like a sandwhich, breaking off the portion you want. Honey and Peanut
butter or almond butter, sprinkle with cinnamon. delish. Or humas with sliced
tomatoes or sliced cucumber. I love it....no fats, no sugar, lots of fiber!

We've been eating these crackers for 25 years! We've found them in two states we've lived in. Sometimes they're hard to find or our local store runs out. But NOW!!!! I can order them from Amazon for less than we pay locally - and free shipping!
We use these rather than bread. We always have them on hand. We've taken them camping - all the way to New Foundland and Labrador as well as to British Columbia, CA and everywhere in the USA. We eat cheese and crackers every day. Healthy. And there's never any bread going stale. The crackers are always on hand.

i am addicted to wonderful artisan Italian and french bread...had to quit due to diabetic flush...300-400 blood glucose...this crisp bread has only 10g carbs...if you are a type 2 diabetic, consider this as a good low carb addition to your meals
