5The Best.....the price?May 15, 2009
By Jacqueline Clonan "Kitchen Princess"
We were among the first owners of a free Senseo coffeemaker way back like 10 or more years ago. We have a white machine in our laundryroom & then bought my husband a black one for work. Soooooooo I guess you could say we looooooove this coffee/method of making it, & medium roast is the best. I recently saw Douwe Egberts non-pod coffee @ a local gourmet shop & it was like $9 something for 12oz! Good to know one can get the coffee to use in a regular drip pot as well, however, @ that price, I guess we will just continue to have this as "treat coffee" via our machine.
All this being said, I would like to say that @ both Target & Walmart here in Buffalo, NY area stores, I can get the pods for $4.24 each. However, when Target in particular, wants to rotate stock, they mark it down to the wonderful price of $4!!!!! Needless to say, I buy them out, go to another store & do the same. That's almost $4 less for 6 bags than Amazon sells it for!!!! I encourage all of you Senseoholics to do the same & check out the above mentioned stores. I wish Amazon would stop reminding me it's so cheap, when they don't mark it down to Target's level.

3good... but decreasing returnsFeb 26, 2012
By Adrian Taverner
I've been a Senseo fan for three years, and I subscribed to delivery through Amazon. Over the past year or so I've felt the flavor fading, and with the ONE THIRD PRICE INCREASE over the last year I'm rethinking my devotion. I just cancelled my subscription. We'll see how I feel when the coffee runs out. Back to the french press?

5Wait no longerOct 22, 2007
By Donald R. West
Coffee has been part and parcel of my family's history. Since discovering the Senseo machine and coffee I have used nothing else. I have tried other brands of coffee, but they're missing something.
Imagine a fresh cup of coffee with every cup...That's Senseo.

5Gift purchaseFeb 19, 2011
By ET
I buy Senseo Coffee Pods for my brother. He can no longer buy it at any local store and it his favorite. I order it for him and it is at his door in a couple of days. It cost the same as he was paying when he purchased it locally. It is easy to order from Amazon, I just go to my account and the record is there so I just push reorder and all of the information is there. Nothing to be typed in. We are always pleased with this service.
Thanks,
ET

I don't know what I expected. Coffee pod systems all seem to be geared to someone who prefers weaker coffee than me. I can reduce the water, but then I get a smaller cup of coffee and it starts being less cost effective. Plus, the Senseo coffees (both medium and dark roast) are bitter. These aren't horrible, just mediocre, and they do have caffeine in them and are quick and convenient, so 3 stars.
