5Great ProductMar 15, 2008
By J. Horn "Horn!"
Really like this sauce. Great taste, very fresh with just the right amount of seasoning. Great product to keep in the pantry for a quick meal. Used the whole jar to make manicotti stuffed with a basil ricotta mixture, and everyone loved it! I did not have any problems with the jars arriving damaged. They came in a nicely packaged box, no seals were broken. The jars are very nice but there is a sticky residue left on the plastic container after soaking of the label that I can't get off, so although I'd like to reuse the jars, I probably won't because of the sticky residue. Anyone have any luck getting it off?

5Absolutely Delicious!Mar 25, 2008
By Sandra
First of all it's fresh and delicious. It isn't acidic, but this sauce has a "zing" to it that makes you feel the ingredients came fresh out of someone's garden. Love the convenience of all the sauces and the size which, I've discovered, has encouraged me to be more creative in using it for such as vegetable and pizza toppings. I was a little concerned when I first ordered as many people have had quality issues, but I'm very glad that I took the chance. I ordered several varieties. We loved them all.

4Good Marinara SauceMar 23, 2008
By B. Petereson
I frequently purchase the Scarpetta line of products. I like to keep the Marinara on hand in case I don't want to go the grocery store or I need to fix something quickly. All you have to do is add noodles.

Kudos to Amazon for for fixing the shipping boxes!

Scarpetta Marinara Sauce, 19.8-Ounce Jars (Pack of 4)

This is very fresh, flavorful sauce - far better than all of the jar sauces available on the grocery shelves. Once you try it, you'll never go back to the others.

5The BEST marinara sauce ...Jun 06, 2011
By L. Mountford
I got a jar of this in a 4-pack "sampler" from Amazon Scarpetta Pasta Lovers Gift Box, 19.8-Ounce Jar (Pack of 4) , and finally got around to trying it this weekend. I used it with some home-made meatballs over linguine, and it was marvelous. (I make my own meatballs using ground turkey, spices, breadcrumbs, and egg, then bake them on a cookie sheet and freeze 'em in bags.)

WOW! It's packed with intense tomato flavor, with just a hint of garlic. I think I've tried 'em all, and this was so much better than any others (including some VERY expensive gourmet varieties). Nothing detracts from the tomato flavor. I find a lot of jarred marinara sauces to be too sweet, and that is definitely not the case here. You get that slight acidic "bite" from the tomatoes, and that subtle garlic flavor. Heaven!

I liked this so much I just set it up on a "subscribe and save" purchase. I'm planning to use it for lasagne, baked ziti, even pizza sauce. It's that good.
