TITLE: sENCHA HISTORY Upon visiting Asia in 2001, Sencha Naturals founder David Kerdoon discovered the prevalence of wide-ranging products infused with green tea. Inspired to spread the trend, for the next three years he collaborated with tea masters and connoisseurs to develop gourmet tea-infused products. In 2005, all-natural SEN CHA Green Tea Mints were introduced on the market as the first product line from Sencha Naturals. Sugar-free, certified vegan, and infused with organic Fair Trade green tea, each leaf-shaped breath mint is flavored with botanical oils and sweetened with Lo Han Guo (an herbal extract derived from an Asian berry). In 2008, the SEN CHA line expanded with Green Tea Bars. Certified kosher and vegan, the all-natural snack bars also contain organic Fair Trade green tea, which is decaffeinated through a natural water extraction process.
