The best tahini that you can find in the USJun 30, 2009
By Don G. This is the best Tahini that I have used (and I tried more than 15 different brands).
I used it for both making a great Hummus and Tahini

Best Tahini, Best Service (Maybe not the best packaging)Mar 02, 2010
By Laurel I've been buying various brands of tahini for decades, and this stuff is by far the best tasting I've ever found. It's delicious even before adding anything.
In shipping, one bottle developed a crack and leaked tahini all over the other bottles, as well as the box it was in. Tahini being what it is, the result was quite a spectacular mess! However, as soon as I informed Amazon they immediately overnighted a replacement shipment. And with some cleanup the three other bottles were fine. :)
Gotta love that.

great tasteSep 24, 2009
By Fairyflyze This was packaged well with no spills. This product is a little more liquid than other brands I've used, but the taste makes up for that. Excellent to make hummus with.

great tasteJan 01, 2010
By J. Ezra The packaging isn't too sophisticated, and (as another review mentioned) it's more liquid than other kinds of tahini, but it really tastes great.
This how I've used it: A Goya package of dry chickpeas - dipped in water for 24 hours, then boiled for 3 hours About 8 ounce Tahini Half a cup water Lemon juice Salt Garlic Blend everything until smooth

One of the best tahini'sMar 26, 2011
By K. Robinson I have had tried about a million brands of tahini over the years and this is probably the best I have tried. Most tahini's are bitter but this one isn't. It almost has a lightly salty taste, but it is 100% sesame seed. It is even good enough to eat straight on toast, which I never liked before. I don't know what they do to make it taste better than most, maybe the ground the seeds are grown in?!
When I was trying to turn my family on to tahini I made sure I gave them some of the Roland brand because I didn't want them to get turned off by tahini forever by giving them a more bitter brand.
This brand does not exactly get oil settling on the top but it does have thicker tahini settle a little on the bottom. It ends up being a little runny in comparison to most tahini's because of this. You might try shaking it or even better stirring it a little to balance out the tahini and add the thickness from the bottom.
I have ordered this brand and other tahini's here, from Amazon, and have yet to have the mess others have claimed. But, I have had one or 2 issues with other products here and Amazon was always really quick to resolve the problem.
I have a feeling by the taste that this tahini is roasted even though there is no mention of that. So, if you prefer raw tahini you might not want this one. If you don't mind that it might not be raw then I highly recommend you give this brand a try!
