5The Anchovies to GetDec 06, 2009
By Schmendric Numbskull
I've always liked anchovies. I've tried many brands. These, although not the most inexpensive, are consistently the best I've been able to source.

They are firm and not too dark in color (in fact light for anchovies) and have excellent flavor. These are the best! Well worth the extra expense.

4Milder than ExpectedNov 18, 2009

Good product; I was just surprised at how mild the garlic and parsley are. That said, the anchovies were mild too (well, for anchovies), so the whole ensemble works together well.

Great tasting anchovies, I crush them up with fresh garlic and olive oil and use on pasta, good added to tomato sauce instead of salt, crush and mix with olive oil and lemon juice or vinegar and use on salad or veggies.

3Love Anchovies, Divorce TheseJul 24, 2010

I really looked forward to this product- a combo of things I adore: garlic, parsley, and anchovies. The first time I opened one tin, I was salivating. The tin is relatively easy to open, and the anticipation built. Then, my first taste before I set them out on crackers and a plate:UGH! I did not throw them out after paying for 12 tins; I am too miserly for that but they did not taste like my expectations at all. In fact, I gave a friend a tin to try; she had never had anchovies before this. She ate hers before I ate mine and did not like them at all. I thought she was just one of those people who does not do anchovies. Unfortunately, these would not be a proper test of that, I later learned to my dissatisfaction.

I loved these anchovies, flavored but not too strong. Works well with everything I tried them with. Went through them in a blink of the eye.
