Ok, this seems like a good deal. Supposedly, each packet can be used for up to 6 cups of uncooked rice. So, I thought that this was the deal of the century. However, this product does not compare favorably at all to the more expensive Spanish saffron. It is missing the smell and taste. In fact, I can barely taste it. It does give a nice color to the grains. But we end up using the whole packet with just cooking 2 cups of rice. I won't re-order.

I use saffron mostly to flavor a Latvian yeast bread - when soaked in warm milk, this saffron gives the dough/bread a nice color, aroma and definitive saffron flavor.
