Caution when buying this product...Aug 07, 2009
By T. A. Anderson While the overall quality and flavor of these mandarin oranges seemed just fine, the entire pack of 24 cans I received from Amazon was crushed. Each and every can was either crushed or dented, which was a pain to open with a can opener. No doubt, these cans were rejects from grocery stores that Roland is passing off to unsuspecting Amazon customers because the cans were passed over on the shelves.
I should have sent the package back, but when I saw that none of the cans were punctured or seemed so damaged that the product quality was compromised, I didn't bother.
I like to keep these oranges in my pantry because of my love for a particular summer salad recipe:
Mixed green lettuce Diced, peeled green apple Candied walnuts Red onion Mandarin oranges Diced grilled chicken Dried cherries or cranberries Low-fat raspberry vinaigrette
It's my favorite salad and when the oranges aren't there, they're definitely missed

Mandarin Oranges RockJun 05, 2009
By Stephen Jepsen Cans keep a good long time but I wish they were easier to open.
The fruit is just as delicious as any of the super grocery store premium brands.

Tasty with Poor PackagingJun 08, 2011
By Simon Sez The mandarin oranges are tasty ... great for the Jello mold ... BUT ... the majority of the cans looked like they've been individually stepped on. Are these supermarket rejects?

. . . I couldn't find these locally (Roland Fancy Whole Mandarin Oranges) so I was Happy to find them here at Amazon.com. We use them in salads and atop little cakes. The juice is fine too. I put it in an ice filled glass. I know we'll be ordering more of this product throughout the year.
My son put some of the sections in the freezer and poured OJ over them. Tried it, Liked it !!!
