5Benefits in a JarMay 31, 2008
By ' Groovin' guy "music historian"
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1TO00JT5WGU07 Whenever my grocery store is all out of this variety of mushrooms fresh, I reach for this dried form. I like this brand as it's a better buy.

It stores easily, and is very healthy. In this clip, is a short demonstration of product use.

5Great pantry itemOct 25, 2010
By Toni "Toni"
Well, I know I can't compete with Groovin Guy's video review, but I must say these mushrooms are very handy to have around when we want to add an earthy, meaty flavor and texture to stew, tomato sauce, frittatas, even pizza. I have found them a bit of a challenge to rehydrate if they are not going to cook a long time. Here is what I have ended up doing: I pour some water over them to cover, and pop them in the microwave till the water nearly boils. I let them soak for about five minutes, or until cool enough to handle. Then I snip off the stems with kitchen scissors and cut the larger mushrooms in half. If they are going into something that will not cook a long time, I reheat the water and let them hydrate another half hour or so before using them. If they are going into a stew or long cooking sauce, I add them in at this point to finish cooking. Strain and use the broth! It is rich and satisfying for soups and stews.

this is better than fresh mushrooms since it lasts longer and has a good "meaty" flavour. i usually toss some in soups or sautee them. i'll be buying this again.

5Great mushrooms at a great price.Apr 01, 2012
By exjedi
It took us a while to use all of them and not because they were not great, it's because they went a long way. We use these weekly in dishes and this jar lasted at least 8 months. Once re-hydrated, these added a tremendous amount of flavor to our soups and other meals.

We subscribed to this product for awhile and it was a good mushroom then recieved a batch that seem if all the rejects were put into one bottle and we got it. Will no longer purchase this brand.
