USDA organic. Certified kosher. Certified Organic by QAI. Rishi white teas are made from authentic medium-leaf tea bush varietals which produce silvery-white sprouts and leaves. They are delicately hand harvested only once year, for a few weeks in early spring when the weather is consistently cool and dry. White Tea is the least processed of all tea types, resulting in a milder flavor without bitterness and a sweeter finish that green tea. Compared to other teas, White Teas are very low in caffeine and contain high concentrations of antioxidant polyphenols (tea catechins). White Tea originated in a small area north of the Min river in the province of Fujian. It is in this region, 1000 meters above sea level where Rishi White Teas are cultivated organically at select smallholder gardens using authentic white tea bush varietals and the classic white tea leaf-withering process. Each year, Rishi travels to this remote heritage region t work directly with the artisans and select the highest quality tea if the season. | | | Features: | |

Terrific teaApr 01, 2007
By S. Volman Bought this flavor to try: it is amazing. It has a great berry flavor and is incredibly smooth. You can see the quality when you open the can: whole, dry berries and whole needle tea.

This tea is delightful for anyone who likes a citrus type drink. Not too sweet. Gorgeous color. Good with lemon. My favorite of any tea I have every tasted!

YummyFeb 03, 2008
By Noesis The berry flavor is very strong - in fact, as far as I can tell, it's very nearly an herbal tea, hence the subtraction of 1 star. It's delicious, but only good for one brew; I generally get 2-3 good cups with other teas.

I've found that I like the milder white teas, but I'm not crazy about plain white no matter how well ranked. Just a hint of flavor like this one -- or pomegranate, ginger -- makes all the difference. This is a regular for me in rotation with some of the other flavored, organic white loose teas.
Very berry!Feb 19, 2012
By KR This is a nice white tea. The berry flavor is very strong! I actually prefer Rishi's Peach White Tea (not as tangy), but this is good for a change.
