Sweet, rich, fragrant teaJan 03, 2010

This is a tea based on rooibos (red bush), a plant native to South Africa. The leaves are like little needles, rather like cedar shavings, and the flavor is naturally sweet and a bit aromatic, like vanilla or nuts but not exactly.
The tea is supposed to have a lot of antioxidants and when adding the dried blueberries, the aroma is absolutely delightful and the taste is naturally sweet and appealing. There is not even a hint of bitterness. Rooibos lends itself to a lot of flavor additives such as vanilla, chocolate, fruit, rum and spice but blueberry has to be my favorite way to enjoy it. If you are looking to cut down on caffeine and want a good hot beverage, try this one.

I've been looking for a high-quality caffeine free tea that would do well as a mechanism to stave off evening hunger and also be a great chilled thirst quencher; I've found it. This strikes just the right balance of a very subtle hint of sweetness with an astonishingly clean taste. Very enjoyable hot in the evening, I think it may even be better chilled. My only challenge now is to figure out how to brew massive amounts for the summer... Excellent price and service from Amazon, if you think you might like this one I urge you to take a chance.

This is my second Rishi tea (my first was the Jasmine Pearl green) and I am very pleased with it! I received the 3-pack for Christmas and I couldn't wait to use it in my Rishi Tea Glass Two Person Teapot (18.5-Ounce) with Infuser. It tastes delicious and makes the kitchen smell wonderful when steeping. It's a tad sweet (at least for a gunpowder green tea drinker) so I wouldn't drink it every day but it is great before bed or in the morning. Rishi makes the best products!

I was turned on to Rooibos tea about 6 months ago and have enjoyed the taste. Looking into alternative drinks for my son- I thought the added blueberry would be something he would enjoy. This delivers!!! He loves it and I feel good about that.

I'm a huge fan of this tea. It works well by itself or you can get creative and add a pinch to chamomile tea to spice it up.
