I love Rice a Roni, but have always felt like it was a bit of a guilty pleasure, since it's not exactly health food. However, their whole grain version is quite a bit better for you, and it's made me worry less about eating to much of it. This flavor has a nice garlic flavor that is not over powering. I like garlic flavor a lot, and so I add some fresh garlic to mine to kick it up a notch. Add some grilled chicken breast and broccoli and you've got a complete, nutritious, and very tasty meal!

I agree with the first reviewer completely.I do like whole grain rice, but for me, it can take a lot longer to cook, and it is not as tasty as this. I really liked this rice as a side dish or by stir frying some fresh vegetables and perhaps leftover meat.
I went back to reorder the rice, and found that many people must like this rice, because the price has gone up considerably!I am on a limited budget, and I haven't gotten through the "shock" of the new price!
It is definitely worth a try, it is not really a big gamble. The rice has a great texture, a little but of a nutty taste,and definitely is not overly garlicy.
For all you non Rice a Roni users, this is not like the regular product in terms of salt or sauciness. And for those fans of the popular 90 second rice, this is far superior!
