This has a very strong, spicy flavor that doesn't taste anything like Paella or any other Spanish food. To me, it tastes more like what I would think of as Indian (it's made in India). I was able to eat it by mixing in an equal amount of plain white rice, but my wife and kid wouldn't touch it after the first bite. I bought a "variety pack." Hope the other flavors are better.

Wanting to try out Paella, i bought this packet, and it reminds me a little like Paella with a bit of Indian which is a plus. It blends well with any meal. I would highly recommend it to anyone would wants to taste a bit of Spain.

Coming from an Asian family, rice is a part of all my meals. With that being said, I think this rice adds just the right combination of spice and flavor. Goes perfectly with every meal and is something I highly recommend for all.

After reading the reviews below I was cautious in trying the Paella, however I was extremely suprised how much my family and I enjoyed this dish. Seems like they have tamed down the spice and added more Spanish flavor to this rice. I would highly recommend this product to people who love ethnic foods.

Seriously over spiced and tastes nothing of paella. I gave this some stars because the rice and dried veggies are worth the cost of the mix, just add little or none of the flavoring and spice your own way. Another bonus is that the spice mixes are very low sodium, so someone that either does not like to poison themselves with too much salt(I think of preserving ham) or has blood pressure problems, can enjoy this dish.
