What more could you want? Wonderful candy, quality ingredients, made in the U.S.A.Mar 17, 2010

Had to comment on this, since another reviewer gave the candy a 1-star rating, based solely on the fact that either Amazon (the seller of these lollipops) or the postal service (the shipper of these lollipops)is responsible for sending this customer a bag of broken lollipops. Seems a shame to give a product a 1-star rating, based on the actions of a 3rd party -- particularly when it is a 5-star product, manufactured by an ethical, conscientious company (Pure Fun) that uses only first class ingredients in their candy.
Since the earlier reviewer failed to review the actual product, allow me. I've tried most of the flavors from the Pure Fun line of hard candies and lollipops and, while I have favorites, they're all wonderful. The natural fruit flavors are a pleasant departure from the fake flavors in most candies. Pure Fun candy is one of the few candies that ingredient-savvy parents can feel good about giving to their children as an occasional treat. You'll find no bizarro, ADHD-inducing chemicals, dyes or high fructose garbage in this candy. On that note, Pure Fun candies are Feingold-approved -- another important factor for ingredient-savvy parents and grandparents like myself. These candies are even better than the stuff I grew up with in the 1950s-60s. This is more like the stuff my grandmother grew up with. This is good, old-fashioned candy. All that's missing are the penny candy store, the grandfatherly storekeeper and the brown paper sack.
Pure Fun candies are also a staple item for those suffering nausea from morning sickness, motion sickness or chemotherapy. In fact, their ingredient list is nearly identical to the Queasy Drops hard candies and lollipops (which are often recommended to chemo patients by their oncologists), only Pure Fun cost half as much.
These candies are also certified organic, vegan, casein-free, gluten-free, Kosher and allergen free (which means it is free of the 8 major allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, milk, egg and soy). Equally impressive, their candies are made in the U.S.A. -- not in China or Mexico, where so many candy companies have relocated to take advantage of cheap labor, substandard ingredients, and lax regulations, laws and standards.
I wish when people have a gripe with Amazon, a seller or the postal service, they'd take it up with them, rather than polluting the Amazon ratings system with non sequiturs and, in the process, degrading the rating of a 5-star product, whose manufacturer aspires, in a very tough world market, to deliver what are indeed rare commodities for these times: quality and integrity.

Crushed Mystery FlavorsMay 11, 2010
By Dana Shulps A few months ago I tried the Yummy Earth organic lollipops. They were good but a bit sour. I decided to give another brand of organic candy a try. These arrived in a well packaged box with one other light item but some of the Pure Pops were still broken. About a dozen pops were broken or crushed to powder. I have never had this much crushed candy from Amazon before and since there is another review stating the same problem I think this has more to do with the company and their product then with Amazon and shipping. Another problem for me is that there is no indication of flavors. The ingredient list names the flavors but how am I to know which color represents each flavor? Lemon and Tangerine are easy to distinguish and once you actually start eating the candy you can pick out the watermelon. My friends and I couldn't tell which one was pomegranate and which was goji berry. None of us could find an apple flavor either even after (attempting) to try one of each color. There is two different shapes in the bag too. There is a set of flavors that are the normal flat circle lollipop shape and some are oval shaped. The colors of the two different shapes are similar but a bit different.
This bag looks like it was filled with lollipops that weren't fit for regular retail sales since colors and shapes vary.
The circle shaped pops taste fine and the flavors match up as advertised but the oval shaped ones seem to have melted and re-hardened at some point and they have some different flavors like bubble gum. I would not order this brand again there are too many inconsistencies in their products. I expect a few broken pieces from shipping but this was too much and I like to know the flavor (as do the people I share them with) before tasting it.
*After putting these into another container I have found 2 sticks, an unwrapped pop that looks like it went through the wrapping machine wrong (it has weird grooves in it), and some torn wrappers. All common findings in manufactured candy but not normally found all in one bag.

A bag full of crushed lollipopsJan 31, 2010
By K. Kelly I actually have to send these back because they came crushed. I guess my review should be more about the shipping than the product.
