5LOVE THIS!Jan 21, 2010
By creative cook in the kitchen
A fantastic pectin that does not let you down! This pectin allows you to make reduced sugar jellies & jams that set beautifully time & time again! You can even use honey as your sweetener & it works perfectly. Once you try Pomona Pectin, you won't bother with another!

5LOVE IT!!Sep 22, 2009
By D. Bottoms
I have used this for years for making jams. I have always disliked the overly sweet jams sold in supermarkets, and I don't like the sugar-free variety either-the flavor is artifical. Pomona's gives me the choice of how much sugar I want to use...if so desired, I can use it with no sugar whatsoever! Wonderful product. I would recommend it to anyone.

5LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PECTIN!Sep 25, 2010
By Happy Jammer
My daughter and I recently made jam and we LOVED this pectin. I hadn't made jam in over ten years, so I was thrilled to find a new pectin that you didn't have to use sugar or very little sugar. Plus, we loved that you could use other sweeteners like honey or agave nectar and still have the jam set up perfectly. Another great bonus was that we only had to use one box of pectin for 24 jars of jam. Very easy to use product and we will be jammin' again soon!

5Pamonas PectinJul 20, 2010
By Ben Torrance
I have tried all the other pectin products available in My local stores with virtually no success. The jam always came out more like syrup tasty but runny. I read about Pamonas and decided to give it a try. I don't like to use a lot of sugar and all other pectins require that You use 55% -85% sugar in order for the pectin to do its job. Pamonas Pectin allows You to sweeten Your jam to Your own taste You can even make jam with No Sugar. I made raspberry Jam using 20 cups of berries 4 cups of sugar and one package of Pamonas Pectin. The jam set up perfectly after 3 seasons of canning I finally found the secret "Pamonas"

5Grrrreat PectinFeb 15, 2010
By Carl J. Davis "Carl"
I am a heart patient with Type 2 Diabetes intent on living forever and keeping all my extremities. I attempt to eat a diet that is both salt and sugar free. I have prepared my homemade jellies and jams for at least thirty years. After being diagnosed with diabetes I initially gave up my homemade for tasteless 'sugar free' diabetic jellies and jams from the supermarket. The jellies I created with Gelatin reminded me of the WWII surplus 'Jello' fed in Army mess-halls in the 1950's.
It took me but two tries to get it right with Pomona's Universal Pectin. I like my jellies a bit tart with very strong flavor.
My recipe for "Pomegranate & Cranberry" jelly is:
1- 12 ounce can of frozen Old Orchard Pomegranate Cranberry Juice.
2- 24 ounces of water.
3- 1/3 cup of Real Lemon.
4- 1 1/2 cup of granulated Splenda.
5- 5 tsp. calcium water.
6- 5 tsp. Pomona's Universal Pectin Powder.
7- 1 tsp. butter or margarine.

Prepare calcium water per package instructions.
Prepare three pint jars per package instructions.
Dilute one 12 ounce can of frozen Old Orchard Pomegranate Cranberry with 24 ounces of water.
Add 1/3 cup of real lemon to the base.
Begin heating the prepared juice base, real lemon and calcium water in a 4 quart Teflon sauce pan.
Use a hand blender like the Toastmaster 1740 2-Speed Hand Blender to stir the liquid.
Add the Splenda, margarine and Pectin powder to the mixture while continuing to blend.
Bring the mixture to a rolling boil for one minute.
Remove the pan from the heat, skim off any foam with a metal spoon and pour the liquid into the prepared jars.

Works for me, and my wife says, "It tastes like real jelly".
