GREAT PRICEApr 11, 2007
By M. Juners My son is 6 months old and we had a prescription for polycose and it cost us $41 a can. This is a great deal because we were able to get 6 cans for the price of one.

Polycose works wellMar 31, 2010

I have 2 children, a 3 and 1/2 year old and a 1 and 1/2 year old. The 1 and 1/2 year old is failure to thrive. I got this to mix into his drinks to help him gain weight. It works great. He can now drink what everyone else is (such as orange juice), and get the calories he needs. I add some in with my 3 and 1/2 year old's drinks also, as he is low in weight. They both like it. I call it "snow" and they actually like it. My 3 1/2 year old asks for it in apple sauce to be mixed in. It mixes better in stuff than durocal, and doesn't appear to have any negative side effects. The one thing that is not included is a scooper. I usually just use one from polycal or durocal.

ExcellentSep 21, 2007
By Jonathan Bott This is exactly what I expected, 1 case of 6 cans of Polycose (the big canister in the photo), caloric supplement. The product arrived within 2 days of ordering via "Super Saver Shipping" which was amazing.
Had no problems with Polycose, it dissolves into any liquid (hot or cold, drinks, soup... ) and adds almost no flavor. In the weaker tasting drinks (milk, water...) some salty / sweet taste can be faintly noticed, but most things were fine. It takes a minute to fully dissolve but the consistency stays the same. This stuff really works, it helped fill me up and keep my energy up while I was recovering from jaw surgery and could not eat and did not want to eat.

Works great!Aug 17, 2011
By erinntx We've been using this for my formerly 'failure to thrive' son for almost 2 years. It's very easy, reasonably priced, dissolves well, is tasteless & adds the much needed calories. We normally dissolve into his rice milk... Usually 4 tablespoons at a time but sometimes up to 8 tablespoons & have never had issues. Will occasionally put in juice & works there too fine. Nothing negative to say at all! Also wanted to add...We used Duocal for a month or so before switching to this & that was less scoops (for equal amount calories) but seemed thicker & more noticable. In addition, Polycose was a better option for my son's slight corn intolerance.
