 I got moldy jerky tooSep 30, 2009

I bought two 6 ea boxes of this Jerky. The first five in the first box were ok. The last one in the first box had a funny flavor so I ate one piece, threw the bag away and didn't think much about it. When I opened the first bag in the second box I found that all the meat is covered in thick mold or something similar and smells terrible. One other bag in the box is also covered in mold. The best by date is DEC 2010 so it is nowhere near being out of date. I e-mailed and called the company to ask if it was a health hazard. The customer service number only allowed me to leave a recorded message. I haven't received a response to either query yet.
If you have or buy this I recommend inspecting it closely and avoiding if it doesn't look or smell right. Actually, I recommend just not buying it.

I'm a heat lover and I've tried lots of "hot" or "spicy" varieties of beef jerky. I'm almost always disappointed because they're never hot enough. Even the A** Kickin' brand wasn't very hot. This product was a very very pleasant surprise though. The heat was about as hot as it gets for a consumer packaged product. It didn't bring me to my knees (it takes a lot to do that) but this is definitely the hottest jerky I've tried and it satisfied my need for heat.
If you can't take spicy foods avoid this product. If you love spicy foods this isn't going to give you the pain you crave but it will satisfy you more than any other "hot" jerky product out there.
One note though, and I almost deducted a star for this, this is pieces of beef jerky, it is not "individually wrapped sticks" as the product title states. I didn't deduct a star because it's not Pemmican's fault Amazon got the description wrong and hopefully Amazon will fix it.

Great jerky! It's Tender and HOT. Well, it's not too hot when you are eating them but it kicks in later as you go along. Perfect amount for a single serving with the individual packs.

I am a true hot and spicy fanatic.
And the Pemmican Premium Cut Beef Jerky, Hot & Spicy, truly delivers the heat!
I wasn't expecting it to be as hot but it was a welcome surprise.
My only gripe is the plastic bag packaging does not seal the beef jerky inside.
I squeeze the bag and it seems like it is not vacuum sealed and am afraid it won't last that long then.
But flavor-wise, I looooove it!
