Not for the faint of heart!Oct 23, 2011
By N. Geimer This is something that my husband LOVES (which is too hot and weird for my taste.) First discovered by him in Indian restaurants, it has been a quest to always have some around the house. We can't buy it locally any more.
I await the precious package!Nov 16, 2010
By chilipickle I started using this years ago when it was in the condiment section of our health food stores. Having had Indian mixed pickle, lime and mango pickle in India, I was happy to find this in the states. My favorite by far is this Chili Pickle, now called relish. I add it to lots of quick meals for a taste treat. At some point the stores gradually stopped selling it and I assumed others did not share the delight (we have found it in Indian groceries in large city areas). Anyway, even as my mouth waters in anticipation, I am grateful for the internet for helping me find a way to bring it home.
Addictive, perks up dull dishes, not just for Indian foodApr 21, 2010
By Mike from Charlotte Simple ingredients combine for a mouth-watering, spicy condiment that I keep finding more and more excuses to use.
This is not just for Indian food. In fact, I don't eat a lot of Indian food. But I find myself putting it on pasta, Mexican dishes, salads, stir fries, fried rice, pizza, anything with tofu, vegetables, omelettes, etc.
I'm a vegetarian these days, but I literally salivate remembering what it tasted like on a turkey sub. Luckily for me, this condiment also makes it easier to remain a vegetarian.
The ingredients are simple -- Chile Peppers, Canola Oil, Salt, Ginger, Mustard, Fenugreek, Spices, Acetic Acid, Citric Acid -- but the blend is perfect. The heat isn't overbearing and there's no unwanted sugary taste, which ruins so many relishes for me.
Everyone's tastes are different, but you should give it a try.
I'm so happy I've found Patak's Chile Relish.

By Cruser This fantastic hot chile relish is comprised of pickled string beans mixed with chiles. If you want to liven up a sandwich then its for you. Be careful though, since a little goes a long way.
