My daughter likes it but she's never had the real thing...taste too much like root beer barrel candy which is horrid in my opinion. Real Sassafras tea, the kind my Grandmother and I made by taking the bark of a Sassafras tree and boiling in water which makes a reddish, fragrant and pleasant tasting tea is much better tasting and nothing like what Pappy's taste like.

This is a great sassafras concentrate. When I can get the root, I actually prefer it over the concentrate, but it's certainly a really good "substitute".
As I'm writing my review, I'm seeing a price which is over double what I paid when I purchased through Amazon.com perhaps a month ago. Currently it's not being offered by Amazon directly, but through a third party. Personally I wouldn't pay the high prices and will wait to see if Amazon offers it again, so I can get the free shipping also.

I bought a 6 pack, dreaming of the great taste of sassafras tea like I'd made growing up in Kentucky. This tastes mostly like root beer, or sasparilla, not sassafras. Great if you like root beer, which I hate. Thanks for trying, though, Pappy's.

If you like tea AND rootbeer this is the product for you. Quite refreshing and easy to mix. A glass of cold water and a touch of this is just what this rootbeer loving girl needs on a hot Georgia day. Or if you are a fan of a certain character who gets whacked on the back of the head. Sassafras. MMMMMMMM.
